Excedior, Inc. employs a five step process for all projects. These five steps are: Discovery, Definition, Design, Development, and Deployment.
Discovery: Excedior, Inc. meets with the client to define requirements of the project from both the business and technological perspectives. Together we identify the target web site audience, evaluate competitor web sites, determine the critical success factors, and review the business objectives and marketing goals to produce a "wish list" for the web site or web application.
Definition: Excedior, Inc. helps the client define the scope of the project. This involves several meetings with all key people to gather input and develop an organization overview of the project. We define user groups and profiles, thus determining usability goals which include accessibility and language requirements. It is at this phase that features and functions are defined and technology options are discussed and decided.
Design: The design phase involves many of the Excedior, Inc. creative talents in the construction of a conceptual model and map for the project, high-level content strategies, and the development of multiple graphic design concept options for the user interface. At this stage we quickly narrow down and consolidate the ideas to produce a final design concept that exceeds expectations.
Development: During the development phase, the design concept is finalized, multimedia components are finalized, database design is completed, and all programming is accomplished. This is also the phase where strict testing is performed and quality is assured.
Deployment: Finally the project is deployed. This typically involves the coordination of what hardware will be used to host the project, the installation of necessary software and hardware, and training individuals on the system as required. |
